Little Desert National Park

The Little Desert is a desert in name only, spanning 132,000 hectares. Its’ differing soil types give rise to vegetation, alive with wildlife and spring flowers. The western and central areas may be approached from Kaniva, while bitumen road access is available from the south via Goroke, Edenhope or Booroopki.

Big Desert Wilderness

Victoria’s first declared wilderness area, Big Desert is a vast park of 113,500 hectares located north of Kaniva.There is no vehicle access into the park. Only bushwalking and self reliant camping are allowed. For information contact Parks Victoria, telephone 13 91 63
